After 112 years at York Road, Maidenhead, The Bowling Club moved in May 2019 to a brand new purpose-built Club situated in Green Lane, Maidenhead.

The new club facilities include indoor bowling on 8 rinks and a 6 rink outdoor green. There are also full bar and catering facilities on site. Excellent and comfortable lounge bar and seating areas for up to 150 people.

Ample car parking is available with 107 car spaces and 2 coach spaces on site.

Press Report 24th October 2021

Desborough Bowling Club began their 2021 / 22 Denny Cup campaign against Swindon Manor and after a slow start they came good to win on 3 of the 4 rinks. The winning rinks were skipped by Kevin Scrace, Malcolm Woodley and Jon McGuinness with the latter pair winning by the similar score of 24-7. In the next round they face County rivals West Berks on 6 November.

Desborough welcomed the London Welsh Bowling Association to Green Lane and after a spirited start by the visitors, the hosts came into the ascendancy and won 134 – 103 being triumphant on 4 of the 6 rinks. It was very close for top rink with those skipped by David Webster, Brian Faulkner and Dave Perriman being very close but they couldn’t pip Keith Roper, Norma Cormican, Sam Stack and John Davis who won by 15 shots.

33 of Desborough Bowling Club’s members made the journey to the Potters Resort at Hopton – on – Sea  in Norfolk and came away with some fine success.  Amongst the 9 teams who played, the Club had 6 teams in the latter stages with one consisting of Barry and Eileen Gill, Gina and Peter Braddock actually making it to the final where they agonizingly lost by one shot. However, there was some further success as Desborough were awarded the top club over the week and so returned to Maidenhead with a trophy.
